To Do List
Today I have a long to do list. Deep breath. I'm going to post it here. Maybe some of you are feeling 'ahem' challenged like me.
I'll just list the major things here..I won't mention the small things like diaper changes etc...I wouldn't want this to get boring or anything ;-):
Cheer up my dear hubby (he's having a hard day)
De-clutter my bathroom
Ditto my bedroom
Ditto the kitchen countertops
Ditto the entry area
Homeschool the 3 oldest children while keeping the 2 youngest from emptying the dresser drawers or kitchen cabinets or whatever...you name it.
Sort and pay and file a large stack of bills (yesterday's work)
Mail the same (plus some letters)
Feed the hungry troops (3 times , no less!)
Clean up the feeding zones!
Plan the weeks menu and shop for the groceries
Wash and dry and fold a minimum of 2 loads of laundry (plus fold the 4 loads that are sitting in the living room)
Organize and de-clutter the sewing/computer/school room
Make my bed..(should that be at the top of the list?)
Brush my hair and teeth (this is to protect the innocent people around me) (THIS should be first)
Take time to smell the coffee and maybe drink some...
Take time to smell the roses...and hug my kiddoes
I figure if I take it one step at a time I won't get overwhelmed...baby steps.
I... think.... I... can..., I.. think.. I.. can.., I think I can!

Cruising
Hubby and I went on a short 3 day weekend cruise last week with his family - which included his parents, and 2 sisters and their husbands. We live in Texas and hubby's family all live in Washington State. We left our house at about 4 am to catch an early morning flight to Seattle.
My dear mother came and stayed with the 5 children. I think she was completely worn out by the time she left! Thanks mother!
We had such a fun time...we are planning and saving our pennies to go again next year and hopefully bring all the children along--I missed them something awful this time!
Here are a few pictures:
Our ship was The Mercury~

~Just prior to leaving Seattle~
Bon Voyage!

~Mandatory muster drill!~
We all enjoyed laughing at each other...

~Learning shuffleboard~
It was a nice cold day in Nanaimo, Canada...hot cocoa and cookies were the order of the day...:-)

~Arrival back in Seattle~
We rose early to be on deck the day we returned. The skill with which the captain maneuvers that huge ship is breathtaking!
