A Blogging Award for Me? Woo Hoo!

Oh My! I've been given a blog award! I can hardly believe it! :-) This was given to me by my blogging friend Crystal at 'God is in Control...Not Me'. I like Crystal's blog title. Just reading it every morning is a great reminder. Crystal has a love for the Lord that is refreshing ... and she sings! I've never been privileged to hear her but I'm sure it's just beautiful. I love to read at Crystal's place because you never know in what way she'll offer you a smile or a word of cheer...sometimes it's just watching videos of her adorable dog and puppies. :-) Thank you for the award Crystal! I will be grinning all day! :-D

    Crystal said
Sundazy gets this award just because I like her blog design and she constantly makes me smile with the stories she tells about her family and her life.

And now I get to pass this award on to some bloggers of my own choice...this is going to be very hard for me because I really like each and every blogger friend on my list for different reasons (plus a few that are not listed yet).

    *Thinking...very...hard...hmmm...*

Ok: Here are my choices for this award:

    1. Kristarella of Blog Cabin. Kristarella was one of my very first blogging friends. Her blog is so cute and her posts are always interesting and inspiring. More than that, though, she is one of my true friends. Hugs to you! Hope you like your award!

    2. Keri of A Happy Home. Keri is a very thoughtful writer and has many insights to share with her readers. I knew I would love reading her blog from the first time...I think we are kindred spirits. She is a dedicated home keeper and truly loves the Lord. Keri, thanks for continuing to share your convictions with the rest of the blogging world. Your light is shining.

    3. TC at Fish in My Hair. TC is one of my favorites because she is just so fun and funny! I never fail to get a good hearty laugh when I visit her site. I've been a loyal TC fan since I first discovered her last year. Some of you may remember that my kiddoes and I were privileged to meet TC and her family in person at the local Book Fair. Since that time they came to my rescue once when I was sick and now our children are forming wonderful friendships...and I like to think that we are too. :-) If you like to smile you should visit her place. She helps us see the humor in the everyday ordinary and not so ordinary events of our lives.

    4. Julie at Seeking the Old Paths. Julie posts about the things that God is showing her and how He is leading their family along a path of His design. I so enjoy her writing, and just reading her sidebars is enough to inspire one to follow God wherever He calls. And now you can hear inspirational music when you visit her place. You rock Julie! ;-)

    5. Sherry at Large Family Mothering. Sherry is the mother of 14 children. She still finds time to blog and encourage the rest of the world with stories and recipes and helpful ideas. She has a lovely testimony about how God brought her to where she is today. I always look forward to her postings.

    and one more:
    My own sweet girl
Rivergirl at A Joyful Song. She's mine and I love her soooo much! You rock sweetie! ;-)

What a cool award!! And you definitely deserve it. I think you have one of the best blogs on the 'net.

I'm humbled that you passed it along to me. I don't feel worthy to be in the same company as the other blogs you mentioned. They're all so sweet and inspiring, and my blog is just an ongoing train wreck. But thank you. :)

Congrats to you! You do rock!

A bit off topic, but I can now visit your actual site, instead of just reading your posts in my bloglines account. Thanks to Firefox! I think I'll be switching now!

Thanks so much to all of you! You are the reason I love to blog! I appreciate all the warm comments more than you know. You all rock! BTW my DS 17 thinks I sound silly when I say 'you rock!' :-) Apparently I am too old and girly for that kind of talk. :-D Hee hee!

Thank you so much! I felt a bit conflicted about passing it along bc #1, I have LOTS of blogs I like and #2, I'm trying to NOT spend too much time on the computer and don't want to trip up anyone else in my shoes. I hope it is ok if I just blog about some links I like instead? Oh, I so don't want to offend...If that is too weird, let me know, and I won't put the award on my blogsite.

Thank you, thank you for the sweet words.

    Your friend,
    Keri

    Dear Keri,
Never fear! That is not too weird at all. You are not offending me in any way. I only want to honor you with the fun little award. Please do whatever works for you and your blogging style. That's why I like you! Stay true to you! You don't even have to mention it or put it on your blog if you are uncomfortable about it. Just know you are appreciated very much! :-)

    ~OUR LITTLE LOVE STORY~
Once upon a time, when things were not so complex...there was a handsome farm boy college boy from the great woods of the Northwest who came to the south on his white stallion White Honda Civic and won Buttercup's Sunydazy's heart.

He laid his heart at the foot of her dress and said "Our love can be like a storybook story. Will you be my bride?" She accepted and they began talking and dreaming of their perfect future together.

Since that time they have together endured fire swamps, ROUS's, the pit of despair and yes, they have even teetered on the edge of the cliff's of insanity (tee hee!)

Though their future was not quite what they expected they still believe in True Love. This blog is all about the rest of their lives where they are living 'Happily Ever After' in the land of La Kooka Rancha.

They love to say 'you keep using that word...I do not think it means what you think it means.' and' Hallo, my name is Inigo Montoya'...but their favorite phrase is...

    'As you wish'....

    My Dear Family

My Builder Man: A visionary with a heart of gold, who holds strong convictions and has an eye for beauty and order. He is always planning something new to build. A man who rises early, works very hard and likes strong coffee and plaid shirts.

Osprey: Our oldest son. 17 years old. A young man with an incredible talent and ear for music. He has strong convictions, and is not easily swayed (esp. by me when it comes to math!). He's good at babysitting and rocking little ones to sleep. He loves to read and his favorite sport is fencing...a game of strategy at high speeds. He's not into rising early right now :-) but dearly loves a good all-you-can-eat buffet!

RiverGirl: Our oldest daughter. 13 years old. She is budding into a beautiful young lady. She enjoys sewing, card making, scrapbooking and music. She is learning to cook and cares for her baby twin sisters like a pro. Being a mother hen type - she is more than willing to help me wake up any non-early risers in the house!

Little Guy: Our 5 year old son. Extremely bright, and extremely energetic. He loves to play with his little sisters and will keep them happy for long stretches of up to 30 minutes at a time...until he gets too carried away and yells and whoops like a wild man! He loves to eat oranges and string cheese...we should've invested in a string cheese company long ago!

Ladybug: This dear little 2 year old girl has a calmness in her personality that is very endearing! She was the larger of the twins and was consequently the first born. She started walking at 11 months old and toddles around smiling and trying to put on clothes--she wears them on her head!

Doodlebug: Also 2 years old, and a precious little bundle of all energy. This little girl arrived second because she was a bit smaller and also because she never stopped flipping around in the womb. (She was born breach). She still hasn't slowed down...she wants to get places fast! We spend a lot of time peeling her little person off of the dining room chairs because she likes to climb up and inspect the table top!
