Things that make you go hmmm...
Well, this week has been nothing short of an adventure. Not the kind I usually dream about but challenging and good for practicing perseverance.
I'm including a few pictures so you can share in the serenity ;-).
Let me back up a few days. I was having a productive day and supper was almost ready. Dear Hubby was on the phone and since I was feeling energetic (I've had a bit of sleep lately! Yeah!) I started looking around for a job to keep me occupied until he finished on the phone. I spied the cabinet under the sink. I don't know about you but I try to avoid that pit as often as I can. Anyway, being in an optimistic mood I swiftly and confidently opened the door and began removing old sponges and baskets of sink supplies. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a glimpse of something wet so I crawled in that direction. Guess what I found?! About 2 inches of standing water! That's right! Everything in the lower cabinets was moldy and mildewy. Nice. After a couple days of no water and wet towels and way too many trips to the hardware store hubby had us up and running again. But in the meantime the kitchen looked like this.

And this is what the dining table looked like...all the stuff from under the sink...

And here is some of the stuff we've been packing...this is also in the dining area...

And here is the hallway...I think! ;-) It's hard to see anything but the empty boxes waiting to be packed.

And just to add to the fun...:-)...

BUT! Look what we got done yesterday! A few more boxes packed! It's a long, hard, row to hoe but we'll win eventually!

Wow that brings back allot of memories....we just moved in december....so I can appreciate your pain!
Glad you got it under control!
Blessings on your Wednesday!
I just wanted to stop in a say thank you for all your encouragement to me recently. I have actually known the prayers of all those who are praying for me. I haven't even had a chance to tell my small group about all this. God is so good. He even uses the blog-sphere to encourage me.
you mentioned the nourishing traditions. I have that book and plan to start implementing some of the things in it. I have been very overwhelmed with all the changes so my dh is going to let me hire a housekeeper for a while. I am going to spend my extra time making school a habit AND working on some new things with our diet. I am very excited about it.
I also read you post about the homeschool fair. I wish I had known you would be there. I could have met you. You must live close to DFW. Neat!!
God Bless,
Karen
